Renowned Daylesford artist Brian Nash has unveiled his latest masterpiece, a captivating coffee table book titled "The Golden Shire - Locations and Surroundings of the Hepburn Shire."
Brian, celebrated for his breathtaking depictions of the region's vast landscapes, made the life-changing move from Melbourne over two decades ago.
His latest work, spanning 224 pages, boasts a remarkable collection of 200 paintings that pay homage to 26 unique towns, including well-known destinations like Daylesford, Creswick, and Clunes, as well as hidden hamlets such as Smokeytown and Lawrence.
Carefully and kindly, Nash has woven snippets of history and local tales into the book's narrative, allowing readers to immerse themselves in the enchanting magic and rich history of each region. This area is part of the traditional land of the Dja Dja Wurrung people.
